Empowering Vulnerable Youth

At Resolute Clothing Co. we understand that achieving success in life requires resilience, commitment to self-development, and the support of family, friends and community. This is why we are making our contribution as we donate 10% of our profits to support youth from low-income families.

At Resolute Clothing Co we recognize when investments are made in our most vulnerable youth, they can achieve greater success in attaining higher education, improve their overall health and wellness, lead prosperous lives and make meaningful contributions to the broader community.

Directed investments in areas like, youth mental health, homelessness, chronic illness, employment skills training, academic scholarships to funding under-resource schools all help make a difference for disadvantaged youth to achieve meaningful, sustainable growth.

Children and youth across Canada find themselves more often needing to work harder than the majority of their peers. They face many more social and economic obstacles, not by choice, but by circumstance. The numbers tell a disturbing narrative - here are just some of the realities vulnerable youth face

In Canada, suicide accounts for 24% percent of all deaths among 15-24-year-old

In low-income communities across Canada, high school dropout rates can reach up to 50% or higher

Almost 1 in every 5 households in Canada experience serious housing affordability issues (spending over 50% of their low income on rent) which puts them at risk of homelessness

Suicide is the second leading cause of death for Canadians between the ages of 10-24

21% of single mothers in Canada raise their children while living in poverty (7% of single fathers raise their children in poverty)

It has been estimated that $1 invested in the early years of a child’s life can save up to $9 in future spending in the healthcare system

Nearly 1.2 million Canadian children younger than 18 (17%) lived in a low-income household in 2015

Half of all mental health conditions start by 14 years of age, but most cases are undetected and untreated

In Canada, only 1 out of 5 children who need mental health services receives them

As we raise funds from the sale of our products, Resolute Clothing Co. aims to disburse those funds to registered charities who demonstrate their ability to make the necessary social impact that lifts up children and youth across our diverse communities.  These are the charities that are the change makers of our society.

We are committed to our charity partners working in under-resourced communities, to deliver programs and services that will make a profound difference in the lives of so many people. Our urgency for purposeful investment echoes their concern about the anticipated increase in rates and impact of poverty by 2026 worldwide and the growing need for transformational programs and services.

Together, we are investing in the next generation and we thank you for your purchase and support.

With the launch of Resolute Clothing Co we have begun identifying charitable partners that align with our social impact goals. As our company grows so will the investments in vulnerable youth. We will be releasing biannual updates (June 30 and December 31) highlighting our progress.
